STREET BALLERS & NJ PANTHERS JOINT MERGER ANNOUNCEMENT

Jan 15, 2026

New Jersey — Two respected names in New Jersey girls basketball, New Jersey Panthers and Street Ballers, are proud to announce a new partnership that brings together decades of experience, player development excellence, and a shared commitment to building confident, competitive young women through basketball.

This merger unites the legacy, culture, and coaching expertise of both programs under one vision — creating a stronger, more comprehensive girls basketball experience across the state.

At the helm of this collaboration are two highly respected leaders in the basketball community:

  • John Griff, Director of New Jersey Panthers, whose program has long been known for its disciplined approach to skill development, competitive excellence, and commitment to long-term athlete growth.

  • Danny Brown, Director of Street Ballers, recognized for his deep basketball knowledge, player-first philosophy, and proven success in developing high-IQ, confident athletes.

“Both programs share the same core values — hard work, accountability, skill development, and empowering young women,” said Griff. “By merging our strengths, we’re creating something special that benefits players and families across New Jersey.”

Brown added, “This partnership allows us to expand opportunities, raise the competitive standard, and offer athletes access to top-tier coaching and training environments – all through a disciplined approach to skill development, competitive excellence, college recruitment, and a commitment to long-term athlete growth. This is just the beginning of what we’re building together.”

EXPANDED TRAINING FOOTPRINT ACROSS NEW JERSEY

As part of the merger, the program will now offer two primary practice locations, making elite training more accessible for families throughout the region:

  • Peak Sports AcademyCentral New Jersey

  • Down Town Sports ClubNorth New Jersey

These locations will serve as hubs for training, development, and team practices, supporting the program’s continued growth and regional reach.
