MEET Yakira Rosa

BASKETBALL COACH

Yakira Rosa is the Director of Basketball Operations for an AAU program she proudly played for throughout her youth, bringing a full-circle perspective to the organization. A former four-year starting point guard at William Paterson University, Yakira built her game on leadership, basketball IQ, and competitiveness—traits that continue to define her coaching and operations career.

Following her playing career, Yakira transitioned into collegiate coaching, serving on the staff at FDU Florham before moving on to Rider University, where she worked as Director of Basketball Operations and a fourth assistant coach at the Division I level. In these roles, she gained extensive experience in program operations, player development, recruiting, scouting, and day-to-day team management.

In addition to her collegiate experience, Yakira currently provides private basketball training and strength & conditioning coaching for athletes of all ages and levels. She has worked with youth, high school, collegiate, and professional players, giving her a well-rounded understanding of long-term athlete development and the demands of each level of the game.

With a strong foundation as both a player and coach, Yakira brings passion, organization, and a deep knowledge of the game to every role she holds.
