“Felicia DaCruz is someone who I have watched over the years and always been impressed with her professionalism, work ethic and how she develops relationships,” said owner Danny Brown. “She is a very talented young trainer-coach who is a true mentor of young people. DaCruz (Feesh) will bring a wealth of knowledge and energy into all of our Programs, Teams, Camps and Clinics. “We are fortunate to have her, and I am excited for the immediate impact she will have on our program on and off the court.”
DaCruz will be overseeing the Downtown Sports training and player development programming. DaCruz is a former Division 1 standout basketball player from Fairfield University. She appeared in 124 games over her career at Fairfield, the sixth most in program history. During her career, she dished out 405 assists, (3.3 assists per game) and remains ranked ninth most all-time in Program history.
DaCruz finished out her playing career professionally for two seasons in Carlow, Ireland. DaCruz most recently served as the Camp Director with the Brooklyn Nets and ESF camps, overseeing all aspects of organizing, recruiting and training for campers and staff at their basketball camps and clinics.
Prior to her latest stint, DaCruz joined the Fairfield stag coaching staff during the 2015-2016 as the Director of Basketball Operations. Felicia DaCruz also worked at the NBA in Basketball Operations for the G-league and the NBA’s social media platforms as a social media production assistant.
